Contrary to popular belief, the album was released March 6, 2001, not October 23, 2001.
Click here to discover why. :)

In June 2000, at the ripe age of 15, Katy Hudson became part of Pamplin Music, signing to their Red Hill Records label. Recorded at The Velvet Elvis and Kong's Cage in Nashville, the album was initially to be released November 2000, but got bumped up a few months to March 6, 2001.

"Katy Hudson" received praise and positive reviews, focusing on the lyrical depth, Katy's personality and stage presence. It was named as one of the best albums in 2001 and Katy as best new artist by Christianity Today!

"Trust In Me" features Audio Adrenaline's Mark Stuart as background vocals and Katy's dad, Keith Hudson, reads a bible verse at the end.

Unfortunately, the end came as Red Hill Records shut down in December 2001.
The album sold about 12 000 copies (not the joke of only 200!) and have become rare and pricey because of who Katy Hudson became. *wink*
